January 22, 2024. Conference - Future Perspectives of Game Development

Algebra University continuously monitors the latest trends and progress in the game development industry and in January 2024 is organizing a conference:

"Future Perspectives of Game Development: Education, Creativity & Business Opportunities"

which will be held on Monday, January 22, 2024, starting at 9:30 a.m. in Algebra Spark Event Space, Gradišćanska 24, Zagreb

The goal of the conference is to inspire and educate students and experts in the video game development industry and to open a conversation about opportunities and challenges in the environment. As part of the conference, speeches by key representatives of the game development industry and technology companies from the ICT sector are scheduled. We will try to introduce the latest trends and future perspectives in the field of video game development to the guests, and as part of the conference there will be a panel discussion attended by industry representatives, entrepreneurs, decision makers and other relevant participants.

SPECIAL GUEST – JOHN ROMERO

The special guest at the conference will be none other than the legendary game designer and industry icon, John Alfonso Romero. His contribution to the gaming world is widely recognized, and his presence will attract significant media and public attention and contribute to the overall attendance of the event. Romero is the author of the famous games Doom, Quake, Wolfenstein and the popularizer of the so-called FPS genre. He is the co-founder of the id Software production studio and is the recipient of several international awards in the field of game development, including the Lifetime Achievement Award from GDC in 2023.
