Nebojša Slijepčević’s Message to Youth: “Fight for your ideas, volunteer, and you will be recognized in Croatia and beyond”

At the Open Day of Algebra Bernays University, over 300 visitors – high school graduates, future students, parents, and enthusiasts in technology and creative industries – gathered to experience education focused on practical skills and future careers.

Rector Mislav Balković encouraged young people to follow their hearts when choosing a study path and to build strong personal values that will guide them through their careers. The event was further enriched by musical duo 2kitice and Eurovision representative Marko Bošnjak, a student of Communication Management.

The “Study with Vision” panel presented the university’s interdisciplinary and industry-connected education philosophy, while award-winning director Nebojša Slijepčević inspired the audience with a strong message: stay persistent, volunteer, recognize opportunities, and success will come — with or without an Oscar.

The science-focused panel “Space, AI, and the Codes of the Future” showcased how students are already working on projects using satellite data and artificial intelligence. Panels on digital marketing and finance emphasized the importance of critical thinking, knowledge, and adaptability in today’s evolving business landscape.

One of the event’s highlights was the Gaming Zone by White Shark, where visitors competed in popular games and won prizes alongside influencer Anril. With hands-on workshops, student clubs, 3D modeling, robotics, and giveaways, the day concluded in a relaxed atmosphere with Domino’s pizza and Red Bull.

Algebra Bernays University once again proved why it stands as a central hub for career development in the digital era — modern, forward-thinking, and future-ready.
